Computer C.O.R.E. Offers Career-Building Workshops in Northern Virginia
Are you interested in gaining new professional skills or developing those you already have? Maybe your chances for a promotion at work would be increased by improving your professional writing, learning the Quickbooks accounting program, or just improving your public speaking. If this is you, Computer C.O.R.E.’s Career Jumpstarter workshops, held in Alexandria, could be the perfect place to give your career a boost.

C.O.R.E.’s Career Jumpstarters are designed for jobseekers and those looking to advance in their career, providing participants with key skills necessary to succeed in today’s job market. Held in intimate and friendly classroom settings, the workshops cater to a variety of ability levels – from absolute beginners seeking lessons in Microsoft Outlook to experienced professionals looking to expand their skill set by learning Quickbooks or Advanced Excel.
Class offerings include Troubleshooting Your Computer, Intermediate and Advanced Excel, Entrepreneurship, Quickbooks Boot Camp, LinkedIn For Beginners, The Art of Grantwriting and many more. Computer C.O.R.E. is a 501c(3) nonprofit community-based organization. Active since 1999, C.O.R.E. offers a variety of computer training and career development programs at 9 sites across northern Virginia, including a 6-month training program for low-income un- or underemployed local residents helping them to find new or better jobs. Students enrolled in C.O.R.E.’s 6-month program have the opportunity to receive up to 13 college credits through Northern Virginia Community College.
