On June 8th the city of Alexandria is hosting it's annual Youth Arts Festival on the grounds of George Washington Middle School located at 1005 Mount Vernon Ave. Alexandria, VA 22314.
In just 6 hours on September 13, a new playground will be built in Old Town.
More than 200 volunteers from Alexandria and surrounding communities will arrive at the site you see on the left and work together to build an amazing new playspace for Alexandria families and their children.
In partnership with ARHA, KaBOOM! and the Washington Capitals, we're building a new $75,000 playground in Old Town's Hopkins-Tancil Court neighborhood on September 13, 2025.
