YMCA Alexandria 5k Pirate Race

Arrrgh, Matey!! The YMCA Alexandria is sponsoring its annual 5k with a new course and a new theme - The 5k Pirate Treasure Your Health Race!! Have an adventure running or walking the fast and flat 3.12 mile route but make it back to the YMCA as fast as you can because the bounty will be plentiful and awards will be given. Post-race activities include music, face painting and more. For our tiniest pirates (ages 2-10) sign up the day of the race for a 50 yard dash with booty for all at the end. Did we mention the free eye patches?? Costumes are encouraged and the best one will win a prize. Don't miss this fun-filled event or you may be forced to walk the plank! 

Join in the fun on Saturday October 12, 2013 at 8:00 am.

The race will start and finish at YMCA Alexandria,  420 E. Monroe Avenue, Alexandria, VA.

The cost is $30 and entrants will receive a commemorative uni-sex cotton race t-shirt. Race day registration will be $35. All 10 & Under participants will be FREE. There will also be a Kid’s Dash for ages 10 & Under.

Packet pick up and late registration will take place on Friday October 11 from noon-8:00 at the Y on Monroe Ave. Race day packet pick up and late registration will be from 6:30-7:45 am at the race site
