Ted Pulliam, author of the new book “Historic Alexandria: An Illustrated History” will present “Stories of Alexandria.” Ted is a frequent writer for the Washington Post, American History magazine, WWII History magazine, the Alexandria Gazette-Packet, and other publications. His articles focus mainly on historical subjects ranging from the first European to live on the Potomac River to a history of the U.S. Cavalry between World Wars I and II. Ted is graduate of Davidson College and Columbia University Law School and is a member of the Alexandria Archaeological Commission, the board of directors of the Alexandria Historical Society, and the board of directors of the Friends of Local History. Ted’s lecture will focus on events and people that make up the Alexandria story. Copies of his newest book, Historic Alexandria will be available for signing following the program.
