Lecture: Infamous Scribblers: President George Washington and the Press. Harry Truman once said "the only thing new is the history we do not know." Professor Henriques shows that even George Washington was not exempt from severe attacks in the press. Washington's attitude and relationship with the press is another way of better understanding our remarkable first President. Reservations are recommended.
