Free Student Health and Immunization Fair
Event Date
Event Location
Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) nurses will host the annual Student Health and Immunization Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at James K. Polk Elementary School, 5000 Polk Ave., Alexandria. ACPS looks forward to having the opportunity once again to help meet the school entry health needs of new students. There is no charge for the services provided at the health fair. ACPS students in kindergarten through fifth grade who need physical exams, immunizations or tuberculin screening in order to complete school health registration requirements are the target audience for this event.
ACPS welcomes exhibitors who wish to share health information with participants and volunteers, including nurses, doctors or others willing to help with escorting families through the event. Those who speak other languages, especially Spanish, Amharic and Arabic are especially needed.
Please contact Health Services Coordinator Robin Wallin at rwallin@acps.k12.va.us if you are able to work as a volunteer at this great outreach to our new students. Parents who wish to bring their children to the health fair should call 703-698-2550 to pre-register.
