Richard F. Kuisel is a professor of History and European Studies at Georgetown University. His books include Seducing the French: The Dilemma of Americanization, and his most recent book The French Way: How France Embraced and Rejected American Values and Power. Books will be available for signature.



The Alexandria Caen Sister City Committee is a volunteer committee that promotes educational and cultural exchange between the city of Caen in Normandy, France and the city of Alexandria. The committee coordinates student and intern exchange programs, and educational programs including an annual D-Day Commemoration each June.  Learn more about us at
