This Week’s Spotlight is The Alexandria Singers
What is The Alexandria Singers?
The Alexandria Singers is comprised of members of the DMV community that love to perform. These performers, under director Bill Colosimo, perform popular American music around the local area and have been doing so since 1975. The singers can and have been hired to perform at various events such the Festival of Lights and at the Verizon Center. Members of the group, currently with 47 Alexandria Singers, are responsible for member dues, attending rehearsals and performance and participating in community events to coordinate supply collections for other organizations.
The Alexandria Singers’ Mission
The mission of the Alexandria Singers is to perform American popular music, to inspire new generations of singers, and to be recognized as a premier “pops” chorus that represents quality entertainment for all.
Program Highlights
Each year the Alexandria Singers adopt a community organization to support by providing supply collection drives in hopes of bettering the community.
