Nonprofit Preschool Needs Funds, Ruby Tucker Center Art Project and More: This Week's Latest ACTion
- A new preschool called Child and Family Network Centers (CFNC) needs your help. Designed to accommodate students whose families "live at or below 185 percent of poverty," the CFNC is given minimal support by the City of Alexandria, Arlington County and the USDA. But the school relies largely on donations from citizens to stay operational. Besides a unique education, it provides services for families, such as health care and job training. Please consider donating today.

The window-sized panel project, made to display during Art on the Avenue starting October 1st, contains a powerful anti-drug message. Consisting of 25 separate pieces, the artists came up with reasons why drugs are harmful, then put them on a massive canvas for all to see.
