Congratulations to the winners of the Pet Photo Contest and the Social Media Animal Ambassador initiative! Thank you to everyone who participated and a big thank you to King Street Cats and the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria for working with ACTion! Prizes for the contest were provided by Profeed Pet Nutrition Center, Andrea's Pet Services, The Southlawn Pet Spa, and Nature's Nibbles. 

Here is our impact: 

  •  23 Alexandrians shared their pet photos and stories
  • 6 people signed up to be social media animal ambassadors 
  • 5 animals featured in the social media animal adoption initiative were adopted 
  • 4 local businesses provided prizes and promoted animal adoption
