Alexandria's a lovable city. And one of the “Most Livable” too.

The City of Alexandria and the Partnership for a Healthier Alexandria were recently awarded Honorable Mention in the 2011 City Livability Awards.
The award recognizes the leadership, creativity and innovation by Mayor Bill Euille in developing and implementing programs that improve our quality of life in Alexandria. Former mayors selected this year’s winning cities from a pool of over 200 applicants. The U.S. Conference of Mayors and Waste Management, Inc. sponsored the award.
The Partnership for a Healthier Alexandria is a citizen-led coalition of local non-profit organizations, schools, city agencies, businesses, foundations, government and community leaders, and concerned citizens dedicated to promoting and preserving a healthy Alexandria community.

Hats off to the Partnership for a Healthier Alexandria and City government leaders for their hard work. And hats off to all of us who are committed to improving the quality of our daily lives. Register on ACTion Alexandria today to help.
