Each month the Planetarium at TC Williams is opened to families and students to learn more about our skies. This educational and exciting experience is led by Bob Nicholson. For the month of January, the program will be about the tragic losses of the Space Shuttle Challenger and Apollo 1.

Saturday, December 17th, from 7:30AM until 4:00PM the Community Partner's for Children Toy Drive needs your helping hands. The Winter Wonderland will be at the Mt. Vernon Rec Center, located at 2701 Commonwealth Avenue. You're already contributing so much to the life of a child this holiday, but we still need volunteers to make sure the Winter Wonderland pick-up goes smoothly.

37th Annual Toys for Tots Benefit Square Dance

"Almost Heaven at Thirty-Seven" will be the theme for this year's Toys for Tots Square Dance. The annual event benefits the USMC Reservce Toys for Tots Drive. We're asking for a $10 minimum toy contribution from couples and a $5 minimum from singles. All toys and money raised will remain in the DC Metro Area.

Torpedo Factory's Holiday Open House

The Torpedo Factory invites you to come on down to the waterfront on December 1st, from 6:00PM until 9:00PM, to enjoy live Hawaiian music, great art, refreshments and perfect gifts. You should wear all your Hawaiian gear to this annual free gig and get your mind set on island time. The Torpedo Factory will be providing you with a Holiday Guide to help make shopping easier!
