About
The Friends of the Alexandria Commission for Women was established in 2000 to provide fundraising and volunteer support for the Commission for Women. Through such events as the Salute to Women Awards, the Holiday Women's Art Party and other fundraisers, the Friends have been able to provide much needed supplemental funds for many programs vital to the welfare of Alexandria's women.
Our focus for “Fall Into Giving” will be to gather the items that victim of Domestic Violence need to establish a new home when they leave the Alexandria Battered Women’s Shelter. In addition to the specific items on the list, Amazon gift cards would also be very helpful to meet individual needs.
