Sign up to be a Social Media Animal Ambassador opens on January 27 and the contest will start on February 3rd and end on February 14! 

ACTion Alexandria is partnering with the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria and King Street Cats to engage the community in helping promote their longest term residents for adoption. We believe that Alexandria is filled with creative, passionate animal lovers who can find new and fun ways to get the word out about animals that have been waiting a long time to get adopted. By spreading the word, you can help these animals find homes! Please sign up to be a Social Media Animal Ambassador to promote the following animals for adoption. The Social Media Animal Ambassador that gets the most 'likes' for their posts about the animal they are promoting will win a gift certificate from The South Lawn Pet Spa and the reward of helping get an animal adopted. 

As a Social Media Animal Ambassador, your job is to promote a  specific animal from either Animal Welfare League of Alexandria or King Street Cats. Your job will then be to come up with an unique and attention grabbing "advertisement" on Facebook to promote that animal for adoption and get as many 'likes' on Facebook for your posts as possible. Hopefully, with the spotlight on the animal, the perfect family will adopt him or her! If the animal that you are promoting gets adopted during the contest, you automatically get 100 likes added to your score and the opportunity to select another animal. A daily tally of the likes by each participant will be posted.
