Help Bring A Miracle Field to Alexandria
Dirt, aluminum, uneven fields, and hard surfaces make baseball, America's game, extremely hazardous for children and adults in wheel chairs, and those who have physical illnesses like seizue disorder.
That's why the City of Alexandria, the Kelley Cares Foundation, and private citizens have formed the Miracle League of Alexandria--to make the lives of Alexandria's special needs children and adults more safe and fun. Although the League completed it's first season this year, the teams were forced to play on dangerous dirt fields.
Building a Miracle Field in Alexandria would provide a rubber-like outdoor field with a cushioned surface for people using equipment like wheel chairs and walkers, making it safe for anyone to play.
The City of Alexandria has committed $285,000 toward the completion of the Miracle League, but to make the Miracle Field a reality, the Miracle League of Alexandria must raise an additional $135,000. Every donation will make a difference, no matter how small!
