Happy Earth Day!

Today is Earth Day, the one day of the year that we celebrate Mother Earth. But really, we should be doing so everyday. It's a bit like a holiday; you don't tell that special someone that you love them only on Valentine's Day, right? We should be taking care of our Mother Earth everyday.

Alexandria Named Distinctive Destination, Earth Day Plans, Center for Alexandria's Children and More: This Week's Latest ACTion

  • On Saturday, February 19th, the National Trust for Historic Preservation named Alexandria one of 'America's Distinctive Destinations' for 2011.  A twelve-year tradition, the National Trust selects "communities across America that offer cultural and recreational experiences different from the typical vacation destination."
