This week, we're helping the Center for Alexandria’s Children build 25 "attachment kits" for local homeless families to ensure healthy childhood development and secure and loving parent-child relationships.
Brain development in the first 3 years is critical to life-long academic outcomes and the language and literacy rich environment provided by the CAC developmental playgroups help address the gap in development of young children for some of the most vulnerable and underserved families in Alexandria.
This Saturday, grab the family and get ready for some fun--do gooder style! Participate in the Kelley Cares 5K and support the Therapeutic Recreation Program of Alexandria, and attend the Center for Alexandria's Children Family Fun Day.
