Winners of the Green Ideas Challenge will be awarded up to $2,000 to put their idea into reality. Awardees will be selected by a panel of expert judges who will take the number of supports an idea receives as one factor in the selection process.

Each year at our Life Membership and Awards Banquet, the Alexandria Branch of the NAACP recognizes the wonderful volunteer work of individuals and organizations in the Alexandria community. This year, our event will take place on Sunday, October 16th at the Mark Center Hilton, and we would like to solicit your help in recognizing those whose community service has had a positive effect on members of our community.
