One City.  One Day.  One Opportunity.

What if we all gave one one day?

ACTion Alexandria's biggest action of the year, Spring2ACTion, begins at midnight on May 2, and we urge you to help us make it a record breaker. Last year, we all worked together to raise $104,000. This year, our goal is to help local nonprofits raise $200,000 in just 24 hours!

Way to go Team ACTion Alexandria! Thanks to you, we raised $1,000 for Higher Achievement, enough to send 90 Alexandria scholars on 4 well-deserved field trips!

Field trips are critical to the success of Higher Achievement scholars. They are able to build relationships with mentors, interact with the community outside the center, and feel recognized and celebrated for their academic achievement.

This success wouldn't have been possible without a $500 match from the RunningBrooke Fund,

I don't know about you, but this week's earthquake brought a new level of significance to our Healthy Families Alexandria Home Safety Kit action. There is nothing more important than making your home as safe as possible for your family.  It also made meeting our goal that much sweeter!

Thanks to your donations and a $500 match from the RunningBrooke Fund, Healthy Families Alexandria will be able to help 67 Alexandria families create a safer home environment for their children. 

We did it! You guys didn't need 5 days ys for our We Are Readers action last week. You donated 120 books in just 4 days!  A record 35 people clicked on the Take Action button to donate books for this great program and The Reading Connection folks couldn't be happier.  Executive Director of The Reading Connection, Courtney Kissell sent you this heartfelt message of thanks:

It tooks us a little bit longer to get our final tally for the Arlandria Health Center for Pediatrics Pedialyte action launched two weeks ago, but we finally got it. 20 Alexandrians took action and donated 320 single servings of pediatric electrolyte solution (192 liquid and 128 freezer pops),  That's double our goal of 160!
