Poo-Powered Lights (Yes, really!)

Alexandria has gone to the dogs!  And sometimes, dogs, well... poop.  I'd bet that almost every Alexandria resident has either seen or been a dog owner picking up after their dog with those little bags.  Imagine if Fido's waste could be used to create electric power for park lights (or potentially other uses)!  It's been done before (http://www.wired.com/2010/09/dog-poop-powers-park-lights/), but I want to make it smaller, more aesthetically pleasing, and make sure it doesn't smell or have any other undesirable features. It will cost more than $2000 to build a working prototype (I can get additional resources from other sources).  Once we install a working prototype somewhere in the city, I'll get user feedback and determine whether or not it makes sense to do more of these.  If so, I'll focus on creating a scalable model that can be built and installed throughout the city (and hopefully more broadly).
