Location: CANCELED EVENT: Braddock Road Metro -- 11:15am. Pre-march rally -- 12:00pm in DC at Constitution Ave NW & 17th St NW. At 1:30pm, kick off official march to Martin Luther King Jr. memorial site at Ohio Dr SW & West Basin Dr SW in DC.

Veterans Day Program

Location: Alexandria Black History Museum, 902 Wythe Street, Alexandria, VA 22314

Come celebrate the African American men and women who fought for our country at this annual event. Our program will be featuring speakers, music, and dramatic presentations. This free event is sponsored by the Alexandria Black History Museum and the Alexandria Branch of the NAACP.

Alexandria NAACP seeks nominations for Community Service Awards

Each year at our Life Membership and Awards Banquet, the Alexandria Branch of the NAACP recognizes the wonderful volunteer work of individuals and organizations in the Alexandria community. This year, our event will take place on Sunday, October 16th at the Mark Center Hilton, and we would like to solicit your help in recognizing those whose community service has had a positive effect on members of our community.
