Teens Talk wants to change the status quo by changing the tone of these conversations and re-creating the perceptions and social norms related to sex and teen pregnancy discussions. Without talking openly and honestly, how will teens have the information they need to be safe? How will parents stay in the loop and make sure their children are aware of the consequences of early pregnancy?  Safer sex and planning about what could happen starts with a conversation; it starts with teens, parents, and the community being able to talk openly and honestly about sex and teen pregnancy.
