The American Horticultural Society and Patch are sponsoring a fun morning at River Farm. Familes and friends alike are invited to this free fall festival on Saturday, October 22nd from 9:00AM utnil 12:00PM. Kids can enjoy a scavenger hunt, face painting, arts && crafts and much more. Everyone is welcome to bring a picnic basket and blankets to take some lunch and the awesome scenary.

The show must go on! If Mother Nature decides it would be better to water the Earth on Saturday, all festivities will be moved inside to River House Mansion.

Come help kick off inauguration weekend with a celebration to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and volunteer! On Saturday, January 19th, hundreds of volunteers will assist nonprofit agencies providing services to people in need as well as provide educational activities to children and youth. In Alexandria, volunteers are needed to assist children and teenagers creating a story book. Volunteers are needed for set up, registration, implementing arts and crafts projects, clean up, and much more.
