Bullying and gangs continue to present a challenge in Alexandria.
The next program of Agenda:Alexandria examines those issues.
Ronald Frazier, Director of the Office of Youth Services, Virginia Larsen, a School Psychologist for Alexandria City Public Schools and Mike Mackey, GangPrevention and Intervention Coordinator, will be the designated speakers at this forum. The program will be at the Holiday Inn Eisenhower Metro Center. There will be a reception beginning at 6:30PM followed by a buffet-style dinner at 6:45. The program will begin at 7:15PM and should last roughly two hours. Reservations are needed for the buffet-style dinner, but be sure to make them by November 22nd to receieve $10 off the regular ticket. The price for those not eating will be only $5.

Come help kick off inauguration weekend with a celebration to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and volunteer! On Saturday, January 19th, hundreds of volunteers will assist nonprofit agencies providing services to people in need as well as provide educational activities to children and youth. In Alexandria, volunteers are needed to assist children and teenagers creating a story book. Volunteers are needed for set up, registration, implementing arts and crafts projects, clean up, and much more.
