U.S. Trade Rep Ambassador Visits T.C., Spring Clean Up and the Energy and Climate Change Action Plan: This Week's Latest ACTion
- U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Ron Kirk visited T.C. Williams High School recently. Read how he encouraged an audience of 60 students to "out-educate global competition." During the hour-long talk, Kirk praised President Obama's hopes for a new education policy "that will raise standards, reward success and offer flexibility for states and schools to innovate and improve."
- Spring Clean Up 2011 began on Saturday. It will continue for the next three Saturdays and serves as a chance for residents to discard of items considered to be solid waste. For more info, call (703) 746-4410.
