September 11th Day of Service and Remembrance in Alexandria
Sunday is the September 11th Day of Service and Remembrance. It's a day we pay tribute to those who were lost and to honor the heroes who answered the call to serve on that day and in the weeks and months that followed through action.
You can pledge the action you will take on 9/11 on the 9/11 Day website and search for opportunities to volunteer locally.
You can also attend the City of Alexandria's 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Friday at noon in Market Square.
We've collected some of the September 11th Day of Service and Remembrance activities you can participate in below.
