Carpenters Shelter/David's Place
- David's Place clients can use the computer room to keep up with news and look for work.
It’s Friday afternoon and I’m hanging out at David’s Place, the day shelter component of the Carpenter’s Shelter. It’s rainy and unseasonably cold, and about 12 men are sitting in the small lounge watching “The Fighter.” Two women come in and out during my 3 ½ hour stay here. That morning another homeless woman checked in with them. She has served in Iraq.
